Daniel qualified as a solicitor in 2005 with Poole Alcock and became a partner in 2012. He specialises in criminal and regulatory law and is a duty solicitor qualified under the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) for Police Station and Magistrates Court Representation. He is also a Higher Court Advocate (HCA) able to represent clients in the Crown Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

An experienced advocate, Daniel has practised solely in the area of defending criminal and regulatory matters since qualifying.

He has defended many serious cases, including murder and manslaughter (recently acting for the defendant in a case described by the judge as “the most complex single-defendant murder trial” he had been involved in) as well as complex fraud and drug conspiracies.

Daniel provides advice to clients on:

  • all motoring offences (including drink driving, speeding, failing to stop and failing to report, careless and dangerous driving, totting up disqualifications, special reasons arguments etc.)
  • serious Fraud and other allegations of dishonesty, including advice on the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA)
  • drug offences including supply, conspiracy and trafficking
  • serious sexual offences (historical and recent allegations including rape, sexual assault, possession, making and distribution of indecent images of children)
  • murder and manslaughter
  • serious assaults and violent offences including allegations of battery, actual bodily harm and grievous bodily harm
  • public order offences including violent disorder, affray and threatening behaviour.
