Mike specialises in Agricultural Law, Property Auctions, Private Client & Probate, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Inheritance Tax and Care Home Fee Planning.
When and Where did you qualify
Mike attended Warwick University, and the Chester College of Law, undertaking his training with HP HC Rigby Solicitors. He qualified as a solicitor in 1980.
Qualification Obtained
LL.B (Hons) from Warwick University, including a distinction in conveyancing Pt II examinations.
Date joined the firm
Mike joined Poole Alcock LLP in 1983 at the firm’s Sandbach office. He was later responsible for opening the Nantwich office in 1984.
Date became a Partner
Mike became a Partner in 1984 and Senior Partner in 1999 and remains in that role.
Notable achievements
Mike is part of Poole Alcock’s Management Committeem and hold the COFA role. His particular responsibilities at Poole Alcock LLP are for Finance, Business Development, Indemnity Insurance and Complaints/Claims. Mike also undertakes a supervisory role in the Private Client Department.
Mike is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and County Land Owners Association.
Hobbies
Mike enjoys motoring, shooting, classic cars/farm machinery and being a part-time farmer. Of course, he also finds time for the odd glass of French red wine!
