Claimant Solicitors to gain access to fraud data
21 November 2011
Following agreement between the relevant authorities, it has been agreed that Claimant Solicitors shall have access to electronic records through a web portal run by the Insurance Fraud Bureau to help tackle potential motor insurance fraud.
Up until now, only motor insurance companies and their representatives have had access to this information where they suspect fraud, however allowing Claimant Solicitors access to this information will help crack down on the UK’s annual £350m bill for motor insurance fraud.
