Helping the community
20 February 2012
As a local firm of Solicitors who have been established in Cheshire for over 100 years, Poole Alcock was keen to start 2012 by giving something back to the local community.
’We use a vast amount of paper in our industry and therefore we especially wanted to help out the Forestry Commission at Delamere Forest’ states Anna Burns, Solicitor in the Personal Injury Department.

A group of 18 people took time out of their weekend and spent Sunday helping tidy up the education area at Delamere Forest. This involved our volunteers ditching their pens and paper and picking up more appropriate tools to help remove low hanging branches, widening paths to allow access for disabled visitors and remove trees/branches that had fallen over the winter months.
The day was extremely rewarding as our efforts have helped make the education area more accessible for all children to use the facility and learn about the forest and wildlife. The Forestry Commission does a fantastic job in making the forest an exciting place for children to learn.
