Police Station

The way an interview in the police station is managed will often have a profound effect upon what ultimately happens if a case proceeds to Court.  This is why the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 preserves the right for anyone interviewed under caution to be represented by a lawyer, free of charge.

We offer representation at the police station 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year. We are duty solicitors with very many years of experience. Our policy in the police station is one of active defence to assert our client’s rights at the outset of any case.  This may mean establishing a client’s defence on day one.  In other cases it may involve persuading the authorities to consider an outcome other than a formal prosecution in Court.

We can speak to the police and advise you about the allegations in private, before the police interview you.  We will be present throughout the interview to safeguard your interests.

We provide advice in cases from the most serious and high profile, to the most minor.  Our work providing representation in the police station is completely free.

If you have been, or are about to be interviewed, either as a volunteer or under arrest, please contact us now to discuss your case.
