In our weekly look into the world of business, Jonathan Hill, from our Corporate and Commercial team, takes a look at The Body Shop’s future…
The investment fund of Andrea Bonomi, Investindustrial Holdings, is bidding to purchase the British cosmetics company The Body Shop.
The investment fund, which previously owned a controlling interest in motorbike company Ducati, is through to the second round of bidding to obtain The Body Shop from its parent company L’Oreal, who put the business up for sale in February 2017.
Other interested parties include Advent International, former owners of the furniture company DFS and CVC Capital Partners who own Breitling watches.
Investindustrial will be hoping that they can close the deal and leave their competitors in the dust.
