Back to News and EventsThe founder of pizza takeaway chain, Papa John’s, resigned from his CEO post last month after admitting to having said a racial slur during a conference call with colleagues and a marketing agency.
It seems that Mr Schnatter now regrets doing this because he has now decided to take the company to court because of the ‘heavy-handed way’ they have treated him. His lawyers are seeking to inspect the company’s documents in order to see if the directors breached their duties when dealing with the matter. Papa John’s have indicated they are going to provide him with documents ‘he is entitled to as director’ and won’t let ‘his numerous misstatements in the complaint and elsewhere’ distract them from their work.
This is definitely not the last we will hear of this matter!
