Head Injuries can be caused by any type of accident, be it following a road traffic accident, an accident at work or a trip or a slip.
Suffering a head injury is understandably extremely concerning for the victim and their family. It is important to investigate any potential brain injury that may have been caused.
Given the long term implications of any head injury, you will need to make sure that you have the right people on your side to help you claim the compensation to which you are entitled.
Our solicitors are experts in the field of claiming compensation for clients following a head injury. At Poole Alcock Solicitors, we ensure that the severity of any head injury is assessed by our independent medical experts before preparing a report on the injury, its impact on your life and how long the injury is likely to go for if not permanent.
If the injury is serious, it may be appropriate for us to discuss with immediate family the potential for a legal guardian or ‘litigation friend’ to take over conduct of the claim on your behalf. We can also discuss whether a power of attorney or deputy should be appointed to take control of any finances and assets.
With claims of this nature, where it is difficult or impossible for you to attend our offices, we will visit you at home or hospital to make this process as convenient as possible.

Court proceedings must normally be commenced within 3 years of the date of your accident.
If court proceedings are not commenced within the 3 year period then your claim will be out of time. Although a court does have the discretion to allow court proceedings to be commenced and to continue after the 3 year period has expired this must not, and cannot, be relied on.
The 3 year period is different if, for example, the person injured was under 18 years of age at the time of their injury. In this case the 3 year period does not commence until their 18th birthday.Arrange A Free Consultation

You may be entitled to State Benefits to assist with your financial situation and we can advise you about making an application for such benefits which may provide an immediate injection of finance. They will be able to directly relate to your circumstances and their guidance can also be very useful for family members.
Mrs Coppenhall handled our request professionally. Efficient with no unnecessary disruption to ourselves with an excellent result. Thank you!
Thank you for your hard work in reaching a settlement in the claim following the death of my late husband. The final sum far exceeded what I’d imagined it would be.
Again my thanks.
A very big thank you and my appreciation and best wishes for all your hard work and dedication in my case for compensation.
My late husband was really happy with the service you provided and I would like to thank you for making it easier for me after he passed away.
For all your kindness to us over the past 3 years (nearly) and we are very grateful for the settlement. Take care and thanks once again.
I would like to thank you most sincerely for the way you have sensitively handled every aspect of my case, particularly in light of the difficulty I encountered for the first few months.
