Liam Cope, Paralegal in the Personal Injury department has prepared an overview of a recently settled a claim for whiplash following a road traffic accident in an attempt to answer the popular question of ‘How much compensation am I likely to receive?’
Our Client was slowing down in queuing traffic. She noticed in her rear view mirror that the Transit Van behind her was not slowing down to stop. As a consequence our Client was hit with considerable force to the rear of her car. This caused damage both to the car and injury to our Client.
She suffered soft tissue and muscular damage to her neck, right shoulder lower back. She also had pain to the left leg and an ache in the arm.
Having suffered an injury as a result of the negligence of the other driver the Client instructed Poole Alcock Solicitors to handle her claim.
After directing the claim to the Defendants, they quickly admitted liability. Poole Alcock arranged for the Client to access free private physiotherapy. This was paid for by the Defendant’s insurance company.
We understand that after an accident the first priority of most people is to ensure that they can get back to their everyday life as soon as possible, with as little pain as possible.
Within 6 months of the accident our Client’s claim was settled for in excess of £2,500 with the Client making a full recovery from her injuries. This included her financial losses and a motor policy excess.
The value of a claim varies greatly depending upon the circumstances. At Poole Alcock we are more than happy to give you our best estimate at the outset of your claim.
