Our aims and beliefs

At Poole Alcock, we pride ourselves on taking equality and diversity seriously and ensure that it is at the forefront of everything we do. We aspire to be a firm that is recognised for its efforts in ensuring that everyone we work with, whether it be colleagues, clients or other businesses, feel included irrespective of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, social background, religion or belief. As a growing law firm with a national presence, we recognise the fact that our people and our clients have different backgrounds, life experiences and cultural beliefs and strive to ensure that these differences are celebrated and positively promoted.

Our people

All of our staff are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusivity. To help with that, we have our very own Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Committee. At present, our Committee is as follows:

Our events

Each year, we publish our very own Equality, Diversity and Inclusion calendar, which we circulate within the firm. We use this as a springboard for choosing which events or holidays to celebrate and support each year, before then deciding how to celebrate or support that event. We have done things as simple as enjoying the delicious foods and snacks a particular culture has to offer, having speakers in and hosting events and have also climbed Snowdon in support of Childhood Cancer awareness month. We regularly host events and circulate articles, both internally and externally, on topics we think are of relevance, for staff and clients alike to enjoy.

Our opportunities

As a growing law firm, we are always looking at ways in which to expand our opportunities to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion. We are also really committed to expanding our workplace opportunities for potential candidates who share our values.
