Helen is a Partner in our leading Family Law team and is adept at advising clients in all areas of family law, including marriage and relationship breakdown, matrimonial finances, arrangements for children, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and co-habitation agreements.
Helen frequently acts for clients involved in complex Finding of Fact hearings where there are serious safeguarding concerns, in relation to emergency applications involving internal relocation and issues of parental alienation.
Accreditations
As a Resolution Accredited Specialist and a Resolution trained Collaborative Law practitioner, Helen has a particular interest in helping families to resolve matters in a way that enables them to move forwards positively. Helen is focused on ensuring that any children are at at the forefront of decision making and that the impact on children and the family as a whole is minimised.
Helen achieved accredited status in 2020 and is accredited in relation to complex matrimonial finances and private law children matters, which reflects her specialisms.

Reported Judgments
In a recent case Helen acted for a father in successfully defending a difficult case involving relocation of a child to a choice of locations, both within and outside of the jurisdiction. The Judge determined that the child must remain living close to the father to enable the child to maintain a relationship with the father and the wider paternal family. Helen represented the applicant wife in a complex and long running financial remedies case, which resulted in a positive outcome for our client enabling her to retain the family home, and a 50% pension share, despite this being considered a pension accrued before the parties marriage. The client also secured a lump sum order and a payment towards her costs. The judgment of Wife v Husband [2023] is available here.
Interests
Helen is an active member of Resolution and part of two National Committees- YRes which promotes the interests of members who are under 10 years post qualified, and the Innovation Committee who focus on driving change for family law practitioners. Helen co-chairs the Innovation Committee.
Helen has a particular interest in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) issues and is the designated Carbon Reduction Partner for the firm.
