Conveyancing Quote
Our property lawyers will explain every step of the conveyancing process, and make it as professional, swift and seamless as possible.
On a daily basis we represent individuals and businesses throughout the Magistrates & Crown Courts of Cheshire.
We deserve our reputation as one of the leading Criminal Defence Teams in the region. On a daily basis we represent individuals and businesses throughout the Magistrates & Crown Courts of Cheshire and further afield.
Although all cases begin in the Magistrates Court local to the alleged offence, more serious matters are directed to the Crown Court. At Poole Alcock we have a specialist Crown Court department with decades of experience of more serious crime – our Crown Court Manager has overseen more than 1000 Crown Court Cases ranging from alleged breaches of Trading Standards Regulations, complex fraud and money laundering offences through to murder.
We employ our own in-house Counsel known as Higher Court Advocates and we work closely with the best barristers in the business. Consequently our Crown Court department has a very high defence success rate.
Our experience includes Money Laundering and other offences prosecuted under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA), Bribery and Corruption prosecuted under the Bribery Act 2010, Complex Fraud prosecuted under the Fraud Act 2006 and tax evasion allegations such as Missing Trader Intra Community (MTIC) or “Carousel Fraud”. Such prosecutions are brought not just by the Crown Prosecution Service but also HMRC, the National Crime Agency and the Financial Conduct Authority.
We have significant experience of dealing with the whole range of alleged drug offences. If you are charged with possession with intent to supply or supplying or producing controlled drugs of any class your case is likely to go to the Crown Court. At Poole Alcock, we have particular success, not just in defending such matters, but also minimising sentences for those convicted as well as reducing the financial impact of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA).
We have significant experience of defending the whole range of violent offences including offences prosecuted under the Public Order Act 1986 (for example Violent Disorder and Affray), allegations of serious assault prosecuted under the Offences Against the Persons Act 1861 (for example wounding (GBH)) right through to murder.
We have the specialist experience needed in this area and handle all cases of this nature with particular sensitivity. We deal with the whole range of offences prosecuted principally under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 (including Rape and Sexual Assault) as well as historic allegations prosecuted under the Sexual Offences Act 1956 (for example Indecent Assault). In addition, we regularly defend in computer-related sexual offence allegations including possession and making of indecent images. We understand that there is a lot at stake and we will help you protect your reputation and liberty wherever possible.
