Our property lawyers will explain every step of the conveyancing process, and make it as professional, swift and seamless as possible.

As a leading team of divorce and family law solicitors, we can act for you throughout England and Wales providing expert advice about divorce and legal separation.
Our experienced team of qualified family lawyers are Law Society accredited, highly regarded and consistently recommended by clients.
We can offer a free initial consultation with one of our divorce lawyers – simply call us or complete the contact form below. We also offer fixed fees, so the costs do not escalate over time.
The first step is to file your notice for divorce and complete a petition, a legal document which outlines your personal details and your grounds for divorce. We can do this via email and post meaning that you can complete all the documents from home.
Once the petition is completed, your solicitor will send this to the court, who will stamp it. Again, this can all be done from your own home.
The court will then pass the signed petition on to your spouse.
In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and the lockdown of UK citizens, law firms and Courts were forced to rethink the way that they provided their traditional services and functions.
At Poole Alcock we have always been able to offer a remote service and we can offer advice through telephone consultations, video conferencing or email. Our advice is confidential and we will ensure discretion at all times. We understand that a breakup can be a very stressful time, especially when living under the same roof as your partner. We will communicate with you in whatever manner you choose at a time which suits you.
At Poole Alcock, we will be sensitive to your situation and respond to you in whatever manner you prefer.
Of course, in some cases you may both be in agreement about the need to separate and you may be amicable enough with one another that these conversations can happen in the open. If that is not the case, though, you can be assured that we will respect your circumstances and act with discretion at all times.
Our family lawyers are experienced in providing a remote service for clients that are unable to leave their home. We can carry out the entire divorce process by email, telephone or video-conference.
Our solicitors are all members of Resolution – a national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce and separation.
We are accredited by the Law Society and have members on the Advanced Family Panel of Solicitors.
