There are a number of charitable activities that may require a solicitor’s assistance. This may include obtaining advise regarding the best structure for a charity or assistance with setting up a charity.
We can assist in advising you the best structure for your proposed charity and help you set up the same, including incorporation with Companies House and registration with the Charity Commission (as necessary). We can also help by drafting the necessary constitutional documents including the articles of association and/or charity rules and objectives. Once established, we can also assist in drafting or reviewing the charities contracts with suppliers etc to ensure that any contracts are compliant with the charity’s objectives.

The charity rules and objectives are the guidelines and regulations that govern the activities and operations of a charitable organisation. They serve as a framework for the organisation’s mission, objectives and how it should carry our its charitable activities
The articles of association are the key constitutional document setting out the internal rules and regulations governing the operations, management and decision-making processes of the organisation.

We were recommended to use Poole Alcock and in particular, Monisha by our neighbours, who found her to be very approachable.
Throughout our relationship, from the initial meeting through to completion, the communications were always first class and easily understood. Monisha was knowledgeable in the subject we approached her with and was quickly able to conclude the documentation and business we had.
I would not hesitate to recommend Poole Alcock, and Monisha herself, if asked.
